Russell Brand, the British comedian, has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape and sexual assault against four women dating back two decades. Appearing in London’s Southwark criminal court, Brand, 49, stated his innocence regarding five counts, maintaining he was not a rapist. His trial is scheduled for June 3, 2026, with bail granted until then. Accusations include incidents in Bournemouth and London between 1999 and 2005. Following a documentary aired in September 2023, a police investigation began. The alleged victims will receive lifetime anonymity for their protection. Brand, previously married to Katy Perry, continues to deny all allegations.
