Des cadres et officiers de la Gendarmerie nationale en visite au Conseil de la nation

On Wednesday, officials and officers of the National Gendarmerie visited the headquarters of the Council of the Nation in Algeria. This visit was part of an open-door event organized by the Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Relations with Parliament. A statement from the Council highlighted the significance of this occasion.

During the meeting with the Gendarmerie representatives, the President of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, emphasized the Council’s commitment to the preservation of memory, which aligns with the national priority underscored by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Goudjil stressed the importance of maintaining a genuine reference to the November revolution (the Algerian War of Independence), describing it as a guiding compass for achieving a prosperous future in the new Algeria. He advocated for the collaboration of various state institutions, including the National Gendarmerie, to realize this vision.

Goudjil also acknowledged the central role of the Gendarmerie in the national security framework, praising its noble missions, continuous dedication to maintaining stability, and its role in safeguarding citizens and their properties.

As part of their visit, the Gendarmerie officials explored different sections and services within the Council of the Nation, where they received comprehensive information about the institution’s history, structure, and functions.

This engagement signifies a strengthening relationship between military and civil institutions in Algeria, showcasing the importance of unity in working towards national objectives related to security and cultural heritage.
