Summary of Measures for the Upcoming BEM and Baccalauréat Exams in June 2025

The Ministry of National Education has implemented extensive preparations to ensure the successful administration of the Brevet d’Enseignement Moyen (BEM) and Baccalauréat exams scheduled for June 2025. Mohamed Hadj Koula, Secretary General of the National Office of Examinations and Competitions (ONEC), outlined these measures in a recent statement to APS.

Hadj Koula emphasized that nearly one million education officials will be mobilized to support and oversee the exams, ensuring optimal conditions for the candidates. With over 1.6 million students participating, the Ministry has taken every precaution to facilitate a smooth examination process.

Accessibility and Preparation

Candidates will have access to online platforms for downloading their examination convocations until the completion of both exams. Hadj Koula urged students to read the instructions carefully and familiarize themselves with their exam centers to prevent any delays. It is essential for candidates to bring their convocations and identification cards to the exam venues, which must be presented upon entry.

To further avoid lateness, students are advised to arrive at their designated examination rooms at least thirty minutes before the start of each session. Late arrivals—defined as those arriving after 8:00 AM for morning exams or after 2:00 PM for afternoon BEM exams—will not be permitted to enter. For the Bac, the cut-off time is 2:30 PM.

Exam Content and Integrity

Hadj Koula assured that the exam topics will remain consistent with previous years, drawn directly from the syllabus taught throughout the academic year. Candidates were also cautioned against engaging with fraudulent subjects circulating on social media, and were encouraged to focus on studying and preparation.

In terms of maintaining exam integrity, strict regulations prohibit the use of communication devices within examination centers. Legal consequences are in place for anyone attempting to impersonate another candidate.

Psychological Support

To support students’ wellbeing, the Ministry, in cooperation with health services, will offer psychological counseling at examination centers. Specialist psychologists will be available to help alleviate any stress, ensuring candidates can complete their exams in a calm environment.

Exam Schedule

The BEM examinations are set to take place from June 1 to June 3, 2025, followed by the Baccalauréat from June 15 to June 19, 2025.

Conclusion

With thorough planning and dedicated resources, the Ministry of National Education aims to provide a fair and supportive environment for all candidates during these crucial exams.
