Summary of the BEM Examination Preparations

The local authorities in central Algeria have made all necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the Brevet d’enseignement moyen (BEM) examinations for the 2024/2025 academic year, which commenced on June 1. Candidates will take exams across ten subjects over three days, with support measures in place to ensure a smooth process.

In Médéa, approximately 20,349 candidates will take their exams at 80 centers, monitored by 3,613 supervisors. A fleet of buses has been arranged to assist students who live far from their examination centers. Additionally, school canteens will be open to provide meals for both candidates and supervisors during the examination period.

Ain Defla has 18,604 candidates participating, including 131 free candidates and 8 with special needs, across 62 centers supported by over 10,000 education sector staff.

In Bejaia, 68 exam centers will host 16,388 candidates, overseen by 3,500 personnel, including 65 psychologists dedicated to assisting students.

Chlef’s participation includes more than 24,000 candidates in 82 centers, with specific support for 30 candidates with special needs. In Boumerdes, 50 centers will serve 23,036 candidates, of which 22,341 are enrolled in schools.

Blida is home to 29,679 candidates who will take their exams in 90 centers, including two located in hospitals and one in a prison. Security services have increased their presence around these centers to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent incidents.

Djelfa is accommodating 21,660 candidates across 73 centers, with transportation provided for 1,378 students and support from 1,378 supervisors. Additionally, 61 catering centers will be available.

Bouira is seeing 16,202 candidates participate in 64 exam centers, supported by 4,045 supervisors. Finally, in Tipasa, 16,101 candidates, including 14 with special needs, will attend 54 examination centers.

In summary, comprehensive preparations and support have been established across the various wilayas, reflecting a concerted effort to facilitate a successful examination experience for all candidates.
