In June 2025, significant resources were mobilized to ensure the successful administration of the baccalaureate exams across various wilayas in Algeria, as reported by education officials. The local education authorities prepared extensively, focusing on examination center supervision, transportation, and catering services for the candidates.

Key Statistics and Safety Measures

In the Blida wilaya, over 28,000 candidates participated, including around 9,000 free candidates, 114 incarcerated individuals, and 22 candidates with special needs. They were distributed across 71 examination centers, managed by approximately 10,000 facilitators. To aid candidates living far from the centers, about 2,300 students were provided with adequate bus transportation, coupled with 67 catering centers.

Similarly, in Djelfa, 29,580 candidates, including 15,366 free candidates, were tested across 87 centers. Authorities extended services to remote areas, ensuring that all candidates could reach their exam sites in a timely manner.

Tipaza hosted 15,550 candidates across 51 centers, with specific attention given to the 16 candidates with special needs. The local education department deployed 6,678 pedagogical and teaching staff to oversee the exams.

The Ain Defla education directorate took additional steps by assigning medical staff to each examination center to assist candidates if necessary. This wilaya had 16,467 candidates, including 5,815 free candidates, spread across 38 centers.

In Chlef, the exams involved 20,223 candidates, with the inclusion of 6,464 free candidates and 12 with special needs, across 71 centers. Medea had 17,974 candidates participating, supported by 5,873 facilitators and organized bus services to transport students among 85 centers.

In Bouira, 15,500 candidates (5000 of whom were free) took part across 58 centers, overseen by 4,751 facilitators. The exams were scheduled to continue until June 19.

Bejaia allocated approximately 13 million DZD to provide meals for 4,500 staff and 18,000 candidates, covering transportation for the latter. In Tizi Ouzou, 19,614 candidates participated in 37 centers, which also accommodated 5,164 free candidates and 42 with special needs.

The comprehensive safety measures implemented included surveillance and coordination with local law enforcement agencies to ensure the smooth operation of this crucial national examination.

In summary, the baccalaureate exams highlighted the extensive preparations and coordination among various wilayas to provide essential services, ensuring candidates had a conducive environment for their assessments.
