Ambassador Ntonga emphasized the need to strengthen health cooperation between both countries through various initiatives. These include exchanging expertise and knowledge, providing training for medical and paramedical personnel, and fostering collaboration in the pharmaceutical industry.
Minister Saihi reciprocated by reaffirming Algeria’s commitment to foster strong ties with African nations, including Zimbabwe. He underscored the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation across several sectors, including healthcare. Saihi further noted that Algeria has an impressive pharmaceutical production rate, currently reaching 76%, which adequately meets the national demand for medicines.
At the conclusion of their meeting, both parties agreed to continue their coordination efforts, specifically in drafting a memorandum of understanding. This agreement aims to bolster and broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both nations and their peoples.
