Sadaoui préside l’ouverture de la Conférence nationale des directeurs de l’éducation
Summary of the National Education Conference Led by Minister Mohammed Seghir Sadaoui
On Wednesday in Algiers, Minister of National Education, Mohammed Seghir Sadaoui, inaugurated the National Conference of Education Directors, aiming to evaluate the educational system as a precursor to implementing a national strategy that addresses existing gaps and prepares for the upcoming school year.
The national management strategy for the education sector aligns with the president’s program, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and adheres to relevant educational laws, including the education orientation law. The conference, scheduled to last two days, seeks to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of achievements in the current academic year, identifying areas that need improvement to inform the national strategy.
Key criteria for evaluation include student performance on quarterly exams and national school assessments. Notably, successful results from the "Cadets of the Nation" schools and other educational institutions in the Brevet de l’Enseignement Moyen (BEM) will serve as benchmarks for best practices. The analysis will extend to regions (wilayas) that have shown positive educational outcomes, as well as the challenges faced by southern wilayas, especially the newly established ones. The goal is to devise solutions that ensure a smoother start to the school year.
Additionally, discussions will encompass educational infrastructure, addressing issues of overcrowding in certain wilayas, and completing the review of specific regulations affecting education personnel, particularly in economic services.
A significant focus will also be placed on the digitization of the education sector, with the conference expected to culminate in actionable recommendations to enhance preparations for the forthcoming academic year.
This initiative represents a structured effort to enhance the Algerian education system by recognizing achievements while actively addressing areas needing improvement, thereby ensuring better educational outcomes for future generations.
