On Thursday in Algiers, the Minister of National Education, Mohammed Seghir Sadaoui, expressed the ministry’s commitment to fostering innovative ideas and projects developed by students to enhance the educational system and the national economy. This statement was made during the opening of a national seminar titled "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Algerian Educational System." The seminar was organized by the National Institute of Educational Research (INRE) on the occasion of Knowledge Day, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education, in partnership with the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises.

Minister Sadaoui emphasized that the ministry is dedicated to supporting creative and innovative projects put forth by students in educational institutions, highlighting the importance of nurturing their creative potential. He reiterated a message shared with the educational community on Knowledge Day, which announced the establishment of a National School Innovation Award aimed at encouraging students to showcase their creativity.

He stated that the ministry would assist anyone presenting interesting ideas in schools, aiding them in developing these concepts into viable projects to be submitted to the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises. This initiative aligns with the national policy set by the country’s leadership, particularly President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

Additionally, Sadaoui announced the launch of the second edition of the "Tarbiya-Up Challenge 2025." He urged start-up owners to participate, with results expected to be announced on April 16, 2026. During his address, he also commended the role of the INRE in supporting scientific research and the creation of successful educational start-ups, acknowledging the hard work of its staff for the benefit of the education sector and the national economy.

The seminar was attended by notable figures, including the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah; the Minister of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui; the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Pr. Abdelhakim Bentellis; as well as various personalities from the fields of science and innovation.

Overall, this event marked an important step towards integrating entrepreneurial spirit within the educational framework in Algeria, highlighting the collaborative effort needed between the education sector and economic innovation to cultivate a robust environment for future leaders and innovators.
