Summary of the Meeting on the 7th Algerian Products Fair
On Saturday, Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, led a comprehensive coordination meeting in Algiers. This gathering included Algerian business operators participating in the 7th Edition of the Algerian Products Fair in Nouakchott, Mauritania, set to open next Thursday.
Attendees included Djamel Guidoum, Vice President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), the CEO of SAFEX, and a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister Rezig emphasized that this fair exemplifies the government’s vision to showcase Algeria’s superior national products and strengthen its market presence in Mauritania, a country sharing historical and fraternal ties with Algeria.
Highlighting the success of past fairs, where numerous partnership and export agreements were signed, Rezig noted a mutual desire to foster commercial exchanges and sustainable economic cooperation between the two nations. The upcoming fair, running from May 22 to 28, 2025, will spotlight Algeria’s productive capabilities across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, home appliances, energy, mining, renewable energies, public works, agro-food, and agriculture.
Additionally, the fair will promote sectors like small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, agriculture, fishing, tourism, craftsmanship, leather and textile industries, as well as home and office furniture. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity for direct sales to visitors.
This fair plays a crucial role in reinforcing Algeria’s economic ties with its neighbors and opening avenues for export and partnership in diverse fields, further anchoring its presence in the Mauritanian market.
