Meeting on Healthcare Statutes in Algeria
On Wednesday, the Algerian Minister of Health, Abdelhak Saïhi, convened a coordination meeting with the members of the central commission established to review the special status and compensation systems of public sector employees in healthcare. This meeting aimed to outline practical steps for ongoing dialogue with social partners and to gather suggestions for improving these compensation frameworks.

During the meeting, Saïhi provided guidance on developing a schedule for discussions with authorized unions, the Ministry’s association of executives, and civil service experts. According to the announcement, 36 meetings have already taken place, bringing together representatives from 12 unions. Additionally, the Secretary General has heard the concerns of 13 unions and has conducted 11 bilateral sessions with the commission responsible for collecting feedback.
