This declaration followed a ministerial delegation meeting with local authorities at the Wilaya headquarters, which also included Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Condition, Soraya Mouloudji, and Minister of Housing, Urbanism, and City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi.

Merad emphasized that all necessary arrangements had been made in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and local authorities to ensure the affected families receive immediate accommodation. He reinforced the commitment of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to prioritize the needs of all citizens and urged a collective spirit of solidarity for families in distress, stressing the importance of eliminating surrounding dangers to prevent future incidents.

The state is prepared to support citizens not only through solidarity measures but also through intervention strategies. He called for enhanced risk prevention across cities, addressing issues ranging from precarious housing to flooding and other threats. Furthermore, Merad announced that psychological support would be available for victims and their families, provided by specialists.

This ministerial delegation was sent to Oran at the directive of President Tebboune to oversee the situation of the injured and seek solutions for those affected by the disaster. They visited the landslide site at "Terrain Chabat" and the emergency department at the "Dr. Benzerdjeb" hospital to assess medical care conditions.

The delegation consists of Interior Minister Brahim Merad, Minister of National Solidarity Soraya Mouloudji, Minister of Housing Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, accompanied by the Director General of the National Police, Ali Badaoui, and the Director General of Civil Protection, Boualem Boughelaf.
