Summary of the Upcoming Brevet d’Enseignement Moyen (BEM) Examinations

As the Brevet d’Enseignement Moyen (BEM) exams approach, nearly 800,000 candidates across Algeria are set to begin their assessments this Sunday, spanning around 30,000 examination centers. The final examinations will take place from Sunday until Tuesday, with over 240,000 educators overseeing the process nationwide.

The Ministry of National Education has implemented extensive measures to ensure the smooth running of the BEM exams for the June 2025 session. Mohamed Hadj Kola, the Secretary-General of the National Office of Examinations and Competitions (ONEC), confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made, particularly in terms of mobilizing staff from the educational sector for supervision.

Regarding the exam content, Kola noted that the topics will remain consistent with previous years, derived directly from the curriculum taught during the academic year. Candidates are advised to avoid engaging with false information or leaked exam subjects circulating on social media, and instead, focus on their revisions.

The Ministry has highlighted the importance of preparation in a calm environment, urging students to disregard misinformation that may cause distractions. Additionally, to facilitate access to exam convocations, the Ministry has decided to keep central locations open for retrieval until the final examination day, allowing candidates to obtain duplicates if necessary.

Kola urges candidates to confirm their designated exam centers in advance to avoid late arrivals. It is crucial for candidates to have their exam invitations and national identity cards ready for verification at each center.

To maintain transparency during the exam process, strict measures, including a prohibition on communication devices in exam centers, will be enforced, with legal repercussions for candidates attempting to impersonate others.

The Ministry has also arranged for psychological support to assist candidates throughout the exam period. Psychologists will be present at each site in collaboration with the Ministry of Health to help students approach the BEM assessments with confidence.

In summary, the BEM exams are being prepared with a focus on organization, support, and integrity to ensure that candidates can perform to the best of their abilities under optimal conditions.
