On March 8, during a ceremony in Blida, Mustapha Hidaoui, the Minister of Youth, and Noureddine Ouadah, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, presented awards to the winners of the « Successful Women Entrepreneurs » competition. This event, organized by the Directorate of Youth and Sports, coincided with the International Women’s Day celebrations and marked the conclusion of the « Women Entrepreneurs Week, » themed « Creators of Hope. »

The competition aimed to highlight outstanding female projects in entrepreneurship, having been initiated by the « Amira » association, which focuses on protecting and promoting the rights of children and youth. This partnership with the Directorate of Youth and Sports sought to encourage participation among women in entrepreneurial ventures.

During his address, Hidaoui praised the initiative for allowing women to celebrate their international day in a novel way that promotes a culture of entrepreneurship among females through the recognition of women who have excelled in their micro-businesses and startups. He committed to ensuring that his ministry would provide the necessary support and resources to drive greater involvement of young Algerian women in female entrepreneurship. This aligns with a broader economic vision aimed at facilitating knowledge exchange among women entrepreneurs and boosting their business development.

Likewise, Minister Ouadah expressed his support for this celebration of International Women’s Day, emphasizing its importance in enhancing women’s roles in national economic development. The competition included participation from 200 young women from various municipalities, showcasing their innovative projects, startups, and small to medium-sized enterprises.

Furthermore, this award presentation was part of Hidaoui’s working visit, during which he inspected several youth structures and establishments across Bougara, Chréa, and Chiffa communes.
