Summary of Minister’s Visit to Constantine and Launch of Digital Platform

On a recent visit to Constantine, Brahim Merad, Algeria’s Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Land Development, officially launched the national digital platform known as the "Police Services Form" under the motto "Your opinion matters." This event highlighted the government’s commitment to digitizing services provided by the National Police (DGSN) and enhancing community involvement in improving the quality of police services.

During his visit, Minister Merad inaugurated the new premises of the 2nd Urban Security Department in Bekira, Hamma-Bouziane municipality. He emphasized the significance of engaging citizens in enhancing national police services and reinforcing transparency. Key officials from the DGSN explained that this new platform was developed by police engineers to simplify procedures and better address citizens’ concerns, facilitating the sharing of feedback.

In addition to launching the digital platform, Merad inaugurated the Regional Anti-Organized Crime Service in Boussouf, emphasizing its role in bolstering national efforts against various forms of crime. He remarked that organized crime poses a significant threat to national security due to its transnational nature and diverse methods.

Furthermore, in the Ali Mendjeli administrative area, the minister laid the groundwork for a 95-bed regional clinic and a regional medical diagnosis and radiology center, both under the DGSN. These facilities aim to improve healthcare services for the police force and their families.

As part of his itinerary, Merad inspected major infrastructure projects, including the expansion of key national roads, aiming to enhance the transportation network of Algeria. He noted that ongoing projects would play a crucial role in promoting economic development.

The visit also included plans for further developments in El Khroub, where Merad is set to launch the construction of a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a new urban security office in the Massinissa urban pole, and a new educational facility. These initiatives reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to improve community services and infrastructure.

Through these actions, Merad aims to integrate modernization into public services, ensuring they meet contemporary needs and enhance the overall well-being of Algeria’s citizens.
