l’hôpital Salim-Zemirli se dote de nouveaux équipements modernes et d’un bloc pédagogique
Inauguration of Modern Equipment and Educational Block at Salim-Zemirli Hospital
On Monday, the Salim-Zemirli Hospital in El-Harrach, Algeria, was officially equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including MRI and CT scanners, and a new educational block. The inauguration was led by Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi.
During the unveiling, Minister Saihi expressed the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services, emphasizing that this initiative aligns with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives to improve health services for citizens. "We spare no effort in serving our citizens," he stated.
The newly opened educational block aims to elevate medical training for students and resident doctors. It serves as a hub for bridging theoretical knowledge and practical application, while also fostering scientific research through hosting scientific conferences and specialized seminars. This initiative is expected to enhance medical expertise and cultivate knowledge exchange at both local and international levels.
The introduction of advanced MRI and CT equipment is anticipated to significantly enhance healthcare services and diagnostic quality at the specialized hospital. Minister Saihi reminisced that the Salim-Zemirli Hospital, inaugurated in 1988, initially focused on emergency care but has since expanded its medical specialties. He also highlighted prospective projects that aim to support research and training, further uplifting health services offered at the facility.
In his address, Saihi revealed plans for Algeria’s health system, announcing that several new healthcare structures will soon be operational. These new hospitals—including those in Baraki, Khemis El Khechna, and Boudouaou (each with a capacity of 120 beds), along with facilities in Réghaïa (180 beds) and Boumerdès (240 beds)—are intended to alleviate pressure on the Salim-Zemirli Hospital.
In summary, the Salim-Zemirli Hospital has recently been equipped with advanced medical technology and a dedicated educational block to enhance medical training and research. This initiative is part of Algeria’s broader efforts to improve healthcare services in line with governmental directives, with plans for additional healthcare facilities to lessen the burden on current hospitals.
