Les meilleurs projets associatifs au service des personnes aux besoins spécifiques récompensés
On Monday in Algiers, Soraya Mouloudji, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Affairs, honored six community projects that excelled in providing services to people with special needs. This recognition is part of a national competition launched earlier in the year by the ministry, themed « The Quality of Associative Action for an Innovative Integration of People with Special Needs. » The competition aimed to support associations managing educational centers for this demographic, acknowledging their exceptional commitment and service quality.
During the event, Minister Mouloudji emphasized that the initiative aligns with a new approach outlined in the sector’s action plan, which seeks to promote high-quality associative action for safeguarding the rights of children with special needs. She particularly highlighted the importance of ensuring these individuals have access to various educational and pedagogical support services.
Furthermore, Mouloudji affirmed that the state aims to create frameworks enabling civil society to engage in national dialogue and contribute to the formulation of economic and social development policies. In this regard, she announced a budget allocation of five billion Algerian dinars to support associative projects outlined in her sector’s action plan for 2025. This funding is intended for the implementation of social and humanitarian initiatives and will soon be released to invigorate associative efforts.
The financial support aims to enhance the care and professional integration of people with special needs, promote women’s roles in economic spheres, and strengthen programs catering to children, adolescents, and youth. Additional focus will be on supporting work assistance centers and other key areas of social interest.
Overall, the event underscored the government’s commitment to fostering quality services for the significant group of individuals with special needs, while also encouraging the active involvement of civil society in developmental conversations to better serve these communities.
In conclusion, Minister Mouloudji reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts between the state and non-governmental organizations to ensure inclusive and effective support mechanisms for those requiring special assistance.
