During the opening of the 56th International Fair of Algiers (FIA), he highlighted the goal of achieving a national integration rate of at least 50%, with aspirations for it to reach 100% in the future.
President Tebboune expressed his satisfaction with the strides made by both public and private enterprises in recent years, especially in the areas of electronics and home appliances. He encouraged local manufacturers to focus on enhancing the quality of national products to build a strong presence both locally and internationally.
As he toured various booths showcasing local manufacturers, including those specializing in refrigerators, air conditioners, and televisions, he praised the increasing quality of Algerian products and the interest they are generating. Following visits to the stands of the invited guest nation, Oman, and others from Sahrawi Republic, Tunisia, and Mauritania, President Tebboune stressed the need for local companies, particularly Algerian General Mechanics (AGM-Holding), to prioritize fulfilling domestic demand before aiming for exports. He urged AGM-Holding to operate continuously to meet national market needs effectively.
While at the Ministry of National Defense’s pavilion, the President was briefed on the production capabilities and industries associated with the national army, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha.
The FIA, under the theme "For Mutual and Sustainable Cooperation," was marked by the presence of key government figures, including Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui.
