Djazagro 2025: A Significance in the Agro-Food Sector

The 2025 edition of the Djazagro International Trade Fair for Agro-Food Production is set to take place from April 7 to April 10 at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers. This major event will bring together 650 exhibitors from both national and international backgrounds, as stated in an announcement from the event organizers.

Djazagro is characterized as a pivotal platform for showcasing significant advancements in the agro-food sector, offering a conducive environment for exchanges and business development. The event anticipates attracting approximately 23,000 visitors, highlighting its importance as a networking opportunity in the industry. Notably, a primary focus this year will be on the critical segment of packaging, underscoring its essential role in transforming and adding value to agro-food products.

The fair is co-organized by Comexposium and Promosalons Algeria, and it will exclusively feature manufacturers as exhibitors; 25% of these are from Algeria, while the remaining 75% hail from various countries, particularly Italy, China, France, and Turkey. These exhibitors span diverse subsectors of the agro-food industry, which include packaging and conditioning solutions, equipment for food processing, bakery and pastry products, logistics and storage, hospitality, food transformation, beverages, food products, along with raw materials, ingredients, and additives.

This year’s Djazagro will particularly emphasize the packaging sector by establishing "Djaz’Pack," a space focused on sustainable materials and innovative techniques that are shaping the future of this critical industry. Moreover, the fair will also feature the "Djaz’Innov" competition, which aims to celebrate the most promising innovations contributing to the dynamism and competitiveness of Algeria’s agro-food industry. So far, 18 projects have been pre-selected for this competition, with awards including gold, silver, and bronze medals, as well as a special jury prize for "Coup de cœur."

An engaging component of Djazagro is "L’Agora des Experts," a gathering intended for professionals to share insights on market trends and challenges. In addition, there will be dedicated training spaces overseen by various educational and continuing education institutions, indicating a commitment to knowledge-sharing and skill development within the industry.

Djazagro has earned recognition as the reference trade fair for stakeholders in the agro-food sector throughout Algeria and North Africa, a status it has held for over two decades. This year’s event promises a rich program, including conferences, demonstrations, and ample networking opportunities. With its comprehensive lineup, Djazagro 2025 is set to reinforce its significance as a leading exhibition in the agro-food domain and serve as a crucial platform for growth and collaboration among industry players.

Amid a global focus on sustainability and innovation, the Djazagro fair stands as a beacon for the agro-food industry, facilitating essential conversations and connections among manufacturers, distributors, academics, and policy-makers alike—solidifying its position as a cornerstone of industry advancement within the region.
