Following the discussions, the Zimbabwean delegation toured several facilities of the Algerian court, including the courtroom and library, where Justice Malaba signed the guest book before proceeding to the deliberation room.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the African Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions (CJCA) headquarters, where the permanent secretary, M. Moussa Laraba, highlighted Algeria’s vital role in promoting constitutional culture across the continent. He emphasized Algeria’s rich experience in constitutional practices and its commitment to constitutional diplomacy through the Organization of African Constitutional Courts.
Justice Malaba expressed deep respect for Algeria, noting that its historical struggle for freedom and independence stands as a beacon for nations pursuing similar goals. He remarked that both Algeria and Zimbabwe share fundamental values and principles underpinning the CJCA, particularly in the areas of human rights protection, democratic values, and the reinforcement of the rule of law.
