Summary of the Rescue Operation by the Tanker "In Ecker"

On a recent Tuesday afternoon, the tanker "In Ecker," part of the Sonatrach group, successfully executed a rescue operation for a distressed vessel off the Italian maritime borders. According to a statement from the company, this operation began after the "Hyproc Shipping" division of Sonatrach received a distress signal from the International Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Rome, originating from a struggling boat in the Mediterranean.

Located approximately 18 nautical miles away from the signal’s source, the "In Ecker" promptly adjusted its course towards the distress area, adhering to international search and rescue protocols. The operation was conducted in coordination with two ships and two aircraft from the Italian air and naval forces, which played a crucial role in locating the distressed vessel.

Due to its proximity to the site and is ability to coordinate effectively, "In Ecker" was designated as the primary coordinating vessel for the rescue mission. The crew demonstrated commendable professionalism and efficiency throughout the operation, working closely with other participating units. Their efforts culminated in the successful rescue of those in danger by around 9 PM.

The accomplishment not only highlights the capabilities of the "In Ecker" crew but also underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in maritime rescue operations, ultimately saving lives.
