On Thursday, Algerian Health Minister Abdelhak Saihi met with May Abdel-Wahab, the Director of the Human Health Division at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), during the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva. Abdel-Wahab noted that Algeria is among the top fifteen global reference centers for oncology training, especially in radiotherapy. She highlighted that the IAEA has designated Algeria as a regional training center for other African nations.

Furthermore, Saihi conveyed Algeria’s readiness to share its expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer in this crucial area. The Minister underscored the importance of training trainers to foster a collaborative and integrated approach to healthcare on the continent.
