Inauguration of Mobilis Service Center in Chlef
On Tuesday, in Chlef, Sid Ali Zerrouki, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, officially inaugurated a service center for the national mobile operator, Mobilis. This ceremony was part of his inspection tour of the wilaya, highlighting the importance of the new facility in enhancing customer services, nurturing the skills of youth, and supporting startup initiatives.
Focus on Skill Development and Innovation
During the inauguration, Zerrouki emphasized that this center is vital for enhancing service quality and fostering skill development across the nation. It aligns with the Ministry’s plan to bolster competencies in areas such as digital transition, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. The Mobilis center will offer free training programs in artificial intelligence and programming, aiming to connect local youth and students with project sponsors, researchers, and employers, facilitating their entrance into the professional world.
Moreover, the center will help young innovators turn their ideas into startups focusing on software and service solutions, with dedicated spaces for young entrepreneurs. It will also feature customer reception areas showcasing the latest technologies, alongside recreational spaces.
Minister’s Visit and Inspections
Zerrouki’s visit to Chlef began with a session at the wilaya’s headquarters, where he was briefed on the telecommunications sector before moving to El Kechachda region in Bouzeghaia. There, he oversaw the activation of a fourth-generation (4G) mobile phone base station as part of the universal telecommunications service program. He then visited Chlef municipality to commission a fiber optic network in the El Hassani neighborhood and inaugurated the Mobilis service center at Bensouna. His tour concluded with a visit to the main revenue office of Algeria Poste in Chlef.
