le ministère de l’Education nationale et la HATPLC signent une convention de coopération
Summary of Cooperation Agreement for Transparency and Corruption Prevention in Algeria
On Saturday in Algiers, a cooperation agreement was established between the Ministry of National Education and the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Fight Against Corruption (HATPLC). The agreement was signed by Minister Mohammed Seghir Sadaoui and HATPLC President Salima Mousserati, in the presence of officials from both sectors.
Purpose of the Agreement
Minister Sadaoui emphasized that this agreement signifies Algeria’s commitment to transparency in public service, which aims to enhance public morality and foster integrity among civil servants. The agreement is designed to integrate a culture of transparency into educational programs, thereby instilling these values in future generations. This initiative is intended to protect public institutions and funds while promoting integrity in public service.
As part of the agreement’s implementation, training will be initiated for ministry officials on the principles outlined in HATPLC regulations. This step aims to strengthen public ethics and governance.
Ongoing Efforts and Institutional Collaboration
President Mousserati outlined that the agreement reflects ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in public management, a top priority for President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Mousserati stressed that combating corruption is a collective responsibility, necessitating collaboration across all sectors. HATPLC is committed to supporting the education sector in adopting preventive mechanisms within its management systems.
Additionally, she noted the significance of preparing future generations. A training plan will be developed to enrich educational programs, integrating anti-corruption topics into school curricula. This aligns with the national strategy for transparency launched on July 15, 2023, ensuring that the education sector actively contributes to its implementation.
In summary, this agreement represents a significant step towards embedding transparency and integrity in Algeria’s educational and public sectors, with a focus on long-term cultural change and effective corruption prevention measures.
