Le Général d’Armée Saïd Chanegriha supervise l’exécution d’un exercice tactique avec munitions réelles à In Amenas
On Tuesday, during his visit to the 4th Military Region, Army General Saïd Chanegriha, who is also the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), oversaw a tactical exercise involving live ammunition at the In Amenas operational sector, as reported by the Ministry of National Defense (MDN).
Accompanied by Major General Omar Tlemçani, Commander of the 4th Military Region, General Chanegriha began with a presentation from the Commander of the operational sector detailing the overall concept and execution steps of the exercise. The primary goals of this live-fire tactical exercise included assessing the combat readiness of the operational sector units, evaluating their capability to carry out potential combat missions, mastering modern combat equipment and weapon systems, and training command staff in planning, preparation, organization, and execution, all under conditions that mimic real combat scenarios.
At the exercise site, General Chanegriha closely observed various combat actions conducted by both ground and aerial units. Throughout the exercise, high levels of professionalism and tactical and operational efficiency were evident. The actions demonstrated a robust adherence to planning and execution protocols and highlighted the competencies of the personnel in assembling, conducting, and coordinating combat operations as well as their thorough understanding and control of the diverse weapon systems provided.
Upon concluding the exercise, General Chanegriha engaged with staff from the participating units to assess their overall performance. He commended them on their efforts during the preparation and execution stages of the tactical exercise, which yielded highly satisfactory results. These results were characterized by accurate firing across various weapons and exemplary coordination among the engaged units and forces.
General Chanegriha encouraged all personnel to leverage the positive outcomes achieved to further enhance the operational capabilities of the Combat Corps, particularly within the In Amenas regional sector and the ANP as a whole. He also reviewed the units within the operational sector and acknowledged the participating formations in the exercise.
