Le FLN réaffirme son plein soutien aux positions diplomatiques judicieuses de l’Algérie

On Wednesday evening in Algiers, the Front de Libération Nationale (FLN) party, led by Secretary General Abdelkrim Benmbarek, reaffirmed its unwavering support for Algeria’s diplomatic positions, which they consider “judicious”. These positions display the country’s determination to defend the rights and interests of its citizens both domestically and abroad.

Delivering his remarks at a conference marking the 63rd anniversary of the Victory Day (March 19, 1962) under the theme « Strengthening the Internal Front, » Benmbarek emphasized the FLN’s commitment to uphold Algeria’s diplomatic stance, showcasing its resolve to safeguard the dignity of its people against any form of infringement. This statement comes amid calls from certain factions in France, particularly from the far right, to reconsider the 1968 agreement between Algeria and France. Such calls, he noted, arise from internal political calculations; notably, the French far-right is attempting to exploit immigration issues for electoral gains.

In light of these developments, the FLN’s Secretary General commended the response from Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which clearly outlined Algeria’s dedication to defending the dignity of its citizens in accordance with international law, entirely rejecting any form of external pressure. Benmbarek underscored that this steadfast diplomatic position not only reinforces Algeria’s image but also solidifies its status as a responsible nation that respects international laws and treaties governing inter-state relations.

Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of uniting behind state policies to bolster the internal front against various challenges. This unity is essential for fostering a spirit of citizenship, empowering youth, and enhancing economic development. During the conference, speakers emphasized President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s deep commitment to Algeria’s illustrious national history, rich with significant achievements. They stressed the importance of recalling this history, particularly to instill a sense of national awareness and unity among younger generations.

Moreover, the conference acknowledged the ongoing development and progress in Algeria, underscored by the initiation of numerous large-scale strategic projects, including the construction of seawater desalination plants. These projects are seen as part of Algeria’s broader strategy to ensure sustainable development and improve living standards for its population.

In summary, the FLN’s recent reaffirmation of support for Algeria’s diplomatic initiatives reinforces the party’s commitment to national integrity and dignity. Against a backdrop of external pressures, particularly from political factions in France, Algeria aims to portray itself as a robust actor on the international stage, fully dedicated to safeguarding its citizens’ rights. The call for unity and a focus on national development resonates throughout the party’s discourse, reflecting broader societal aspirations for growth and cohesion amidst contemporary challenges. If continued, these efforts can further strengthen Algeria’s internal front while promoting a positive image internationally.
