Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, has been granted permission by the French judiciary to leave France for Dubai. This approval came after he requested a modification of his judicial control, allowing him to stay away for « several weeks. » Durov was arrested at Bourget Airport in late August for failing to combat criminal use of his messaging platform, and he faces charges related to complicity in criminal activities. He has expressed willingness to cooperate with French authorities, stating he is available for inquiries. Durov notes that Telegram has responded to multiple judicial requests but emphasizes that only a fraction of users are involved in criminal activities.
