Getex Group Records Significant Growth in 2024

In 2024, Getex, a public textile and leather group, achieved a remarkable revenue of nearly 20 billion Algerian Dinars (DA), marking a 15% year-on-year growth. This achievement was articulated during the unveiling of a new store by its subsidiary, Jackets Club, at the Bab-Ezouar shopping center.

Samia Kaid, Deputy General Director of Getex, shared the group’s success in hitting their growth target of 20 billion DA for 2024, expressing optimism about exceeding this figure in 2025. Emphasizing Getex’s consistent growth over the years, she highlighted the company’s focus on maintaining high quality and competitive pricing to meet market demands. Kaid also reiterated the group’s commitment to adhering to international standards in innovation and product development.

Looking towards the future, the group plans to establish partnerships with foreign operators in areas such as innovation, research, and development. Getex aims to expand its product range, particularly in women’s apparel, while also developing men’s ready-to-wear clothing aimed at international markets in the medium term.

Toufik Maouche, CEO of Jackets Club, elaborated on the strategic significance of the new store in Bab-Ezouar, describing it as a vital step in enhancing the company’s market presence. Currently, Jackets Club operates 25 stores nationwide, with plans for expansion to include new locations in shopping centers in Guelma, Oran, and southern wilayas. This expansion is part of a methodical growth strategy aligned with the company’s commercial objectives.

Regarding the company’s outlook, Maouche emphasized a primary goal: to strengthen the position of local products in the national market before pursuing export opportunities. Jackets Club is currently negotiating with various stakeholders to access foreign markets. The company’s extensive distribution network, supported by factories across Algeria, along with the recent development of an e-marketing strategy, is expected to bolster its market presence.

The digital initiative includes a partnership with the startup Diar Dzair, which launched a new online platform aimed at broadening the distribution reach across all Algerian wilayas. Abderraouf Saighi, CEO of Diar Dzair, noted that since its launch, the platform has significantly expanded the product distribution network and offers the convenience of purchasing Getex products with a three-month payment plan at no extra cost. Saighi outlined the collaborative agreement between Diar Dzair and Getex, which encompasses eleven key services, including the development of targeted strategies for retail outlets, ongoing market trend analysis, and pricing strategies.

Through these initiatives, Getex is poised for further growth, reinforcing its market position while expanding its product offerings and exploring new markets both nationally and internationally.
