lancement l’hiver prochain de nouvelles lignes directes vers l’Afrique et l’Asie
Summary of Air Algérie’s Upcoming Routes and Initiatives
Air Algérie is set to introduce new direct flight routes to multiple destinations in Africa and Asia during the winter of 2025-2026. This announcement was made by Hosnia Kaoua, the Marketing Division Director at the national airline. The expansion is made possible through the acquisition of new aircraft, which will facilitate long-haul destinations including direct flights from Algiers to Guangzhou (China) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
In addition to destinations in Asia, Air Algérie plans to enhance its presence in Africa by launching routes to N’Djamena (Chad), Zanzibar (Tanzania), and Libreville (Gabon), while also reinstating flights to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). The airline aims to boost the frequency of its recently initiated route to Abuja (Nigeria) to strengthen its foothold in West Africa.
The ultimate goal is to establish Algiers Airport as an international flight hub, connecting Africa with Europe, America, Asia, and the Middle East via direct flights. Air Algérie is expecting to receive 16 new aircraft in the upcoming months to improve its fleet and cater to increasing demand.
To address operational challenges, particularly flight delays, the airline is revising its hand luggage management policy and digitizing processes to enhance customer experience. The improvements in service quality, especially baggage management, are expected to significantly reduce delays.
Moreover, the airline’s preparations for transporting pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj have been positively influenced by digital advancements. The booking process for flights was efficiently handled through a dedicated online portal for the pilgrims’ office (ONPO).
In line with its digital transformation, Air Algérie also plans to launch a modern, interactive website, reflecting its commitment to improving customer service and operational efficiency.
Overall, Air Algérie’s strategic expansion and digital initiatives signal a commitment to enhancing its service offerings and establishing itself as a key player in the global aviation market.
