Le Commandement de la Garde républicaine organise des portes ouvertes au profit des enfants aux besoins spécifiques
On June 1, 2025, the Command of the Republican Guard at the 11th Cavalry and Escort Regiment « Chahid Yahouni Bachir » organized an opening event in Algiers for children with special needs, in honor of World Children’s Day. This initiative was part of a communication plan approved by the Army Chief of Staff and reflects the Republican Guard’s humanitarian traditions and the importance the military places on community bonds, especially with vulnerable groups.
During the event, acting Major General of the Republican Guard presided, aiming to bring joy to the children through therapeutic horseback riding. This therapy is recognized for enhancing self-esteem and helping children integrate into society. The day’s activities included various workshops such as coloring, music, horseback riding, and equine therapy, alongside equestrian exhibitions and a visit to the stables.
The Republican Guard ensured the success of this event by providing extensive human and material resources. The day concluded with a lunch for the children and their escorts, where symbolic gifts were presented, and photographs were taken to commemorate the occasion.
