The 27th edition of the International Health Salon, known as « SIMEM, » was inaugurated on Wednesday at the « Mohamed Benahmed » Convention Center in Oran, attracting nearly 200 exhibitors representing 600 companies from Algeria and beyond.
The opening ceremony, presided over by Acting Secretary-General of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry Khaled Dehan, featured the presence of Oran’s wali, Samir Chibani, and local authorities. This significant event in the health sector boasts participation from companies across 38 foreign nations, showcasing the latest innovations in healthcare, medical technologies, and pharmaceutical solutions.
The seminar was organized under the theme « Connected Health: The Future of Medicine, » highlighting its importance as a platform for exchange, networking, and modern equipment discovery. Organizers anticipate over 10,000 professional visitors over the four-day exhibition.
A diverse program of conferences and seminars has been designed for the event, featuring scientific days that explore critical medical topics, including kidney diseases, dialysis, organ transplantation, medical imaging and ultrasound, nuclear medicine, orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation, respiratory medicine and anesthesia, as well as e-health and biomedical engineering.
Interactive sessions will also be held, demonstrating various innovations, such as cutting-edge medical equipment, next-generation surgical robots, and digital solutions for healthcare facility management. The event not only serves as a showcase for industry advancements but also fosters knowledge sharing and professional collaboration, positioning itself as a key event in the North African health sector.
