Hidaoui préside une cérémonie en l’honneur des étudiants africains en Algérie
On Monday, Mustapha Hidaoui, the Minister of Youth in Algeria, presided over a ceremony honoring African students studying at Algerian universities and institutes. This event, themed « Together, let’s continue celebrating Eid in our African home, » aimed to promote the values of solidarity and fraternity, integral aspects of Algeria’s national identity, and to enhance cultural and scientific exchanges among young people.
The second edition of this ceremony welcomed 200 students from 44 African countries, serving as a platform for exchanging ideas and strengthening relationships between Algerian youth and their African counterparts. The minister emphasized that the event was also meant to reinforce the principles for which Algeria advocates in international and regional forums.
In his address, the representative of the African students praised the initiative and called for preserving noble human values while deepening cultural and intellectual exchanges among various African peoples under the concept of a unified identity.
During the ceremony, the second issue of the magazine « Youth Diplomacy » was launched, accompanied by a screening of a documentary highlighting Algeria’s efforts to promote and develop education in Africa. Notably, the event was attended by Mohamed Chafik Mesbah, an advisor to the President of Algeria on political affairs and youth relations, and Salma Bakhta Mansouri, the Secretary of State for African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with diplomats accredited in Algeria.
The ceremony served as a significant opportunity to foster connections and affirm Algeria’s commitment to supporting education and collaboration across Africa, underlining the importance of unity and cultural ties among nations.
