Haribo has recalled its « Happy Cola Fiz » candies in the Netherlands after discovering cannabis contamination, which caused illnesses in several consumers, including children. The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) stated that only three bags were affected, but a broader recall was initiated as a precaution. NVWA confirmed that the contaminated candies could lead to health issues, prompting an investigation by the police. Haribo emphasized the limited scope of the recall and their commitment to consumer safety, stating they are cooperating with authorities to resolve the issue.
