Guy Orsoni, a key figure in his namesake clan, was sentenced to 13 years in prison, while an associate received 12 years, by a Marseille court for attempting to murder rival Pascal Porri in 2018. The court imposed a half-sentence safety period, reducing the prosecutor’s request of 15 years with two-thirds safety. Orsoni’s lawyer, Me Camille Romani, criticized the judiciary’s approach and indicated plans to appeal the « unjust » verdict. Orsoni, associated with Corsican organized crime, was arrested while armed near Porri’s home in Ajaccio. Porri also faces charges related to attempts on Orsoni’s life.
