The 8th edition of the National Festival of Women’s Literature and Cinema will take place in Saïda from May 26 to 30, 2023. The event is themed "Literature and Cinema of Women… Let’s Move Forward Together," and aims to celebrate and promote women’s contributions to literature and cinema in Algeria.
Festival Highlights
This year’s program features a variety of activities, including literary and intellectual sessions at the "Mustapha Khalef" Cultural House, where discussions will center on the reality and prospects of female cinema in Algeria. These sessions will include contributions from prominent Algerian writers and novelists, offering platforms for dialogue on pressing issues facing women in the arts.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the festival will showcase the premiere of the feature film "La Première Rangée," directed by Merzak Allouache.
