In line with President Tebboune’s directives, it was agreed to send a team of engineers and technicians from Sonelgaz to Syria. This team will assess the current state of the Syrian electricity sector, identify challenges, and propose a detailed action plan to bolster electricity production, transport, distribution, and maintenance of essential electrical infrastructure.
Additionally, Arkab extended an offer for Algeria to host a group of Syrian technicians for specialized training programs organized by Sonelgaz institutes. This initiative aims to foster technical expertise exchange and enhance local capacities.
During their exchange, both ministers voiced a mutual desire to extend cooperation to various fields, including hydrocarbons, mining, and renewable energy. They emphasized the importance of turning this cooperation into practical, sustainable development projects.
