Ceremony at the School of Air Defense: Honors and Achievements
On Monday, a significant ceremony took place at the Chahid Ali-Chabati School of Air Defense in Reghaïa, Algeria, marking the graduation of several prestigious military promotions. The event was presided over by General-Major Abdelaziz Haouam, Commander of the Territorial Air Defense Forces.
The graduates included members from several programs: the 33rd class of the Command and Staff Course (CEM), the 50th class of the Officers’ Advanced Training Course (CPO), the 16th class for application courses, the 13th class for engineering training, and the 12th class for degree-level training.
During the ceremony, General-Major Haouam reviewed the formations of the graduating classes at the arms square. Following this, General-Major Madani Maamria, the Commander of the ESDAT, delivered a speech praising the institution’s crucial role in cultivating highly qualified personnel equipped to tackle modern challenges to airspace security. He emphasized the importance of discipline, responsibility, and patriotism among the graduates, highlighting that air defense is currently the nation’s security bulwark.
After the graduates took their oath, there was a formal presentation of ranks and diplomas, specifically to the top students, along with a flag handover. In a special gesture, General Haouam approved the naming of the outgoing promotions in memory of the late moudjahid Cheikh Amoud Ben EL-Mokhtar.
The ceremony continued with a military parade that showcased the skills and training of the various graduating cohorts. General-Major Haouam also presided over the naming of the school’s arms square in honor of the late Colonel Lazreg Mohamed, who was a former Inspector of the Territorial Air Defense Forces.
In addition to the graduation activities, an open house was held to present projects completed by students. Afterward, both the family of the late moudjahid Cheikh Amoud Ben EL-Mokhtar and the top graduates were honored, and a guest book of the school was signed.
