The Brevet d’enseignement moyen (BEM) examinations for June 2025 commenced on Sunday, running smoothly across examination centers in various southern regions of Algeria, as reported by APS correspondents. Education Minister Mohamed Seghir Saâdaoui officially launched the exams at the Mohamed Boudiaf college in Ghardaia, where he overseeing the opening of the Arabic language exam envelopes alongside local authorities.

The BEM exams, scheduled from June 1-3, involve over 40,000 candidates across more than 200 centers in southern wilayas, including Ouargla, Ghardaïa, El-Meniaa, Timimoun, In-Salah, Adrar, El-Meghaier, Bordj Badji-Mokhtar, Illizi, El-Oued, and Laghouat. To ensure the success of this educational event, authorities organized various training sessions for exam proctors and established amenities to create a conducive examination environment. Facilities such as air conditioning, access to fresh water, and surveillance cameras have been implemented in many centers.

In Bordj Badji-Mokhtar, particularly, significant measures were taken to ensure candidates could sit for their exams comfortably. This included transportation for students from remote areas, along with the installation of water fountains, backup generators, and water tanks to address any potential issues, as stated by local education director M’hamed Mezzar.

The BEM examinations are crucial for students as they mark a significant milestone in their academic journeys, and the organized efforts highlight the commitment to providing a secure and comfortable environment for all candidates.
