Death of Hichem Miraoui: Suspect Christophe B. Charged and Imprisoned for Terrorist Murder

Christophe B., suspect in the racially motivated murder of Tunisian Hichem Miraoui in Puget-sur-Argens, has been charged with terrorist assassination and detained. While he admitted the act, he denied any racist motivation. The Interior Minister labeled the murder as « racist » and potentially « terroristic. » On the night of the incident, Christophe, after drinking, shot at Miraoui from his car and later injured another neighbor. Before the attack, he posted provocative videos on Facebook, urging « French » people to act against perceived threats. His psychiatric evaluation showed no mental anomalies, and he had a history of extremist social media posts.
