Summary of the National Competition Organized by the Algerian National People’s Assembly

On Monday, the jury for the national competition launched by the Algerian National People’s Assembly (APN) was officially established at the APN headquarters. This initiative aims to recognize outstanding school projects focused on the theme "Algeria and Just Causes". The competition is organized under the supervision of APN President Brahim Boughali, in collaboration with the Ministries of National Education, Culture, and Veterans Affairs, and the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA).

During the installation ceremony, which was presided over by Afif Bleila, the chairman of the Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Religious Affairs Committee, he highlighted the significance of this initiative. According to Bleila, the initiative seeks to familiarize young people with legislative institutions while instilling values of justice and equality among nations and reinforcing national identity foundations.

The competition also aims to celebrate Algeria’s steadfast positions on global just causes, particularly focusing on the Palestinian and Sahrawi issues. The jury is led by Halim Bencherif, a deputy who emphasized the commitment of the jury to ensure a transparent and fair selection process for this inaugural edition of the contest. Members of the education committee have organized themselves into specialized groups based on the types of submissions evaluated to begin the selection and examination process.

The results of the competition are scheduled to be announced on February 20, with awards presented to the authors of 39 outstanding submissions during a dedicated ceremony.
