On Tuesday, in Ravenna, Italy, during the OMC Med Energy Conference, Algeria’s Minister of State and Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, met with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi. This meeting, also attended by Algeria’s ambassador to Italy and the CEOs of Sonatrach and Sonelgaz, focused on enhancing bilateral collaboration in the fields of energy, mining, and renewable resources.

Both ministers agreed on the need to intensify dialogue and exchanges among economic operators from both countries. They emphasized the importance of developing joint projects based on a win-win approach, particularly in energy infrastructure development, resource transformation, and the establishment of power generation facilities.
