adhésion totale au programme de permanence au 1e jour de l’Aïd El-Adha
Summary of Commercial Activity During Aïd El-Adha in Setif Region
On the first day of Aïd El-Adha, an impressive participation rate was observed among merchants in six Wilaya regions under the jurisdiction of the regional commerce directorate in Setif. The participation was reported at 100%, as stated by the regional director, Fayçal Abdelhamid Tayeb.
All designated merchants and economic operators complied with the established program for the holiday. This included areas such as Bordj Bou Arreridj, M’sila, Jijel, Mila, Bejaia, and Setif. Tayeb confirmed that the supply of essential goods was consistent and adequate, covering a variety of basic consumer products, including milk and semolina.
The permanence program was initiated following directives from the Ministry of Commerce. Its objective is to meet the demands of citizens and ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential goods during the festive period. For the three days of celebration, the program includes:
- 4,214 bakeries
- 81 flour mills
- 23 dairies
- 14 mineral water production units
- 3,599 service outlets that cater to various needs, including phone recharging, mechanical repairs, vulcanization, and gas stations.
To monitor compliance and maintain order during this busy time, the Setif regional directorate mobilized 521 inspectors, with 112 stationed specifically in Setif. This area has a total of 4,466 active merchants. A range of resources was provided to officials, enabling them to oversee urban and rural markets effectively.
This initiative exemplifies a well-coordinated effort to ensure a smooth flow of essential goods and services during one of the most significant religious celebrations in the country.
