Algeria Wins "Labeitom" Gold Award for Excellence in Hajj Services
On Sunday, Algeria was recognized for the second consecutive year with the prestigious "Labeitom" Gold Award, presented by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This honor is given to establishments that have demonstrated exceptional service to pilgrims, as stated in a report by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments.
The award was received by Youcef Belmehdi, Algeria’s Minister of Religious Affairs and Head of the Bureau for Algerian Pilgrims, during the closing ceremony for the Hajj season of 1446H/2025. The presentation took place in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where Minister Belmehdi accepted the award from Tawfik Ben Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah.
In a statement to the Algerian Press Service (APS), Minister Belmehdi expressed pride in this accolade, highlighting that it is a result of collective effort and meticulous coordination among various sectors both within and outside Algeria.
