On Wednesday, Azouz Nasri, the President of Algeria’s Council of the Nation, held a crucial meeting with council executives. Attended by Secretary-General Mohamed Drissi Dada and interim Chief of Staff Makhlouf Sahel, the meeting highlighted Nasri’s commitment to maintaining direct communication with council staff to improve parliamentary performance. He praised the dedication, discipline, and professionalism exhibited by the council’s members since its inception, emphasizing the need to instill these values continuously for better outcomes.
Nasri stressed the importance of continuous training to enhance the skills of council members, aiming to establish a modern, transparent, and efficient parliamentary administration that meets the ambitions of the state and its citizens. This initiative is designed to bolster Algeria’s foundations under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Nasri thanked former Chief of Staff Aissa Bouregba, who has recently been appointed as a member of the Council of the Nation by presidential decree. A ceremony was held in Bouregba’s honor, acknowleding his 25 years of service to the council, including 13 years as Chief of Staff.
