Both ministers expressed their satisfaction with the current level of cooperation, which reflects the commitment of both nations’ leaderships to strengthen partnerships across various sectors, particularly in healthcare. They emphasized the importance of bolstering bilateral cooperation to serve their mutual interests. A key area of focus was the exchange of expertise and medical knowledge, particularly in pediatric cardiac surgery.
The dialogue also explored the possibility of establishing a joint medication production unit in Algeria, with an associated branch in Muscat, Oman. This initiative aims to enhance industrial complementarity in the pharmaceutical field between the two countries.
Additionally, the ministers discussed the creation of a National Medicine Center in Oman, with coordination from Algeria’s Central Pharmacy of Hospitals. This effort is designed to advance the production and distribution systems for medicines at both national and regional levels.
Ultimately, both ministers agreed to continue their coordination and consultation efforts and to increase their meetings to realize the discussed projects. This commitment is expected to enhance the strategic partnership between Algeria and Oman in the healthcare sector.
