Summary of the 27th International Building, Construction Materials, and Public Works Exhibition "Batimatec"
The 27th edition of "Batimatec," the International Exhibition for Building, Construction Materials, and Public Works, is scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 8 at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers. This prominent event, as reported by the organizers, will cover an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, showcasing the participation of a significant number of national and international companies.
Representatives from about fifteen countries, including China, Turkey, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, are expected to attend. The event is co-organized by Algeria Exhibitions, a subsidiary of the Safex Group, and Batimatec Expo. Beyond the exhibition and professional demonstrations, "Batimatec" will also serve as a forum for thoughtful discussion, featuring a variety of technical conferences that are highly valued by professionals and academics in the field.
Topics for this year’s conferences will include Algeria’s seismic regulations (RPA 2024), geological risk assessments, corporate social responsibility, engaged architecture, and economic solutions for sustainable urban development. In addition to these discussions, the event will host the 14th edition of the national competition for young architects, dubbed "La Charrette d’Or," which focuses on designing a multimodal hub at the eastern entrance of the city of Annaba.
This year’s exhibition aims to foster networking, innovation, and knowledge exchange, enhancing the future of building and construction in Algeria and beyond.
