On May 1st, about 500 members of the Jeune Garde lyonnaise, co-founded by LFI Deputy Raphaël Arnault, participated in a demonstration alongside 6,500 people, according to the Rhône prefecture. Under heavy police presence, they marched from the Garibaldi metro station, carrying a « zone antiraciste » banner. Facing possible dissolution by Bruno Retailleau, the group chanted « Siamo tutti antifascisti, » showcasing their resolve on Labor Day. Arnault, dressed casually, led the chants, fostering a spirited atmosphere among participants. The event highlighted the organization’s commitment to anti-fascism, despite an uncertain future.
