Summary of the Partnership Agreement between the Algerian Handisport Federation (FAH) and the Algerian Table Tennis Federation (FATT)

The Algerian Handisport Federation (FAH) and the Algerian Table Tennis Federation (FATT) have established a partnership aimed at enhancing the development of para-table tennis in Algeria. The agreement was signed by FAH President Sid Ahmed Elasri and FATT President Mohamed Fathi during the final round of the National Youth Opens held at the Tipasa sports hall.

Objectives of the Agreement

This collaborative initiative is designed to foster a strong relationship between both federations, focusing on the shared goal of promoting para-table tennis. Key objectives include:

  1. International Competition Participation:

    • Facilitate the involvement of para-table tennis athletes in prestigious international competitions, such as World Championships, Continental Games, and the Paralympics.
  2. Training Support:

    • The FATT commits to aiding FAH athletes in reaching high standards in para-table tennis, offering training support within its capacity.
  3. Event Organization:

    • The agreement also extends support for organizing para-table tennis competitions and technical aspects, including equipment loans and officiating services, both at national and international levels.
  4. Judging and Officiating Training:

    • The FAH will leverage FATT’s expertise to run training for judges and referees, ensuring organized events.
  5. Joint Training Initiatives:

    • Both federations plan to collaborate on training initiatives, which will be formalized annually, detailing types of training, venues, and trainers involved.
  6. Technical and Physical Preparation:

    • Being affiliated with international structures and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), FAH can rely on the FATT for technical, physical, and sports preparation for national team players.
  7. Support for Hosting International Events:
    • Should Algeria host international para-table tennis competitions under IPC guidance, the FATT pledges to assist in technical and material organization.

Governance of Partnership

To effectively manage this collaboration, a joint committee comprising equal representatives from both federations will be established. This committee will:

  • Address any issues arising from the partnership,
  • Propose necessary adjustments or modifications,
  • Promote and regulate the discipline,
  • Define a specific regulatory framework,
  • Construct a federal calendar,
  • Support sporting initiatives, and
  • Create tailored technical content for athletes.

Annual Contractual Framework

All actions stemming from this partnership will be formalized through annual amendments to ensure ongoing commitment and clarity in operations.
