Summary of the 15th International Tourism and Hospitality Exhibition in Oran

The 15th edition of the International Exhibition for Tourism, Travel, Transport, Equipment, and Services for Hospitality and Catering concluded on Saturday evening in Oran, drawing over 11,000 professional visitors, according to the organizers. The event, held at the "Mohamed Benahmed" Convention Center, showcased a significant turnout, with visitors spanning various sectors such as tourism, hospitality services, transportation, and catering.

Noureddine Douadi, the event director, highlighted the successful engagement of professionals from across the tourism industry. This year’s exhibition focused on fostering relationships and facilitating agreements, leading to partnerships between travel agencies and hotels, as well as between reservation platforms and accommodation providers. These collaborations aim to promote Algeria as a tourism destination and enhance domestic tourism, as communicated by ASTRA, the organizing agency.

Under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Houria Meddahi, and the Governor of Oran, Samir Chibani, the exhibition brought together over 200 exhibitors from Algeria and nine other countries, including Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Russia, India, Uganda, and Tanzania. The four-day event was organized across two main pavilions: one focusing on tourism, travel, transport, banking, insurance, and training centers, while the other was dedicated to hospitality services and catering.

Multiple conferences were held, addressing critical topics such as "Developing Tourism in Algeria," "Modern Technologies in the Tourism Sector," and "Digital Marketing Strategies to Attract Travelers." Additionally, workshops led by experts discussed hotel architecture, reservation systems, and the influence of digital platforms on the hospitality and catering industry.

This comprehensive event not only reinforced Algeria’s commitment to developing its tourism sector but also served as a platform for industry professionals to share knowledge, establish vital connections, and explore innovative practices to attract more visitors to the country.

In summary, the 15th International Tourism Exhibition was a significant gathering that showcased Algeria’s potential as a tourism hub and strengthened the country’s tourism infrastructure through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
