On Wednesday in Algiers, a significant agreement was signed between the Public Television Establishment (EPTV) and the public accelerator « Algeria Venture. » This new collaboration is aimed at providing start-ups with considerable financial support in terms of advertising on public channels, offering a remarkable discount of up to 70% on advertising expenses.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of key officials, including Lyes Abdoune, the interim Director General of Algeria Venture, and Mohamed Adlane Zerrouki, the EPTV’s commercial director. Attendees also included the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Microenterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, and the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, along with EPTV’s Director General, Mohamed Baghali.
Under the terms of the agreement, start-ups are presented with an opportunity to promote their innovations and products through EPTV’s channels at a significantly reduced cost. The contract allows for a 70% discount on advertising expenses, with the remaining 30% payable in installments, thereby easing the financial burden on these emerging enterprises.
Minister Ouadah explained that this initiative is part of a broader roadmap created in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication, which encompasses various strategies to bolster the national economy through innovation. The plan aims to support and promote Algerian skills and local start-ups, showcasing them not only in the national landscape but also on an international scale through public television.
Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement, which he described as a testament to the country’s commitment to transitioning toward a knowledge-based economy, where start-ups play a crucial role. During the signing ceremony, the start-up « Easy Prodcast » took the opportunity to showcase its innovations related to audio-visual digital broadcasting, emphasizing the potential for content promotion in this rapidly evolving digital landscape.
