Sonatrach Renews Partnership with National Road Safety Delegation
On Wednesday, Sonatrach, Algeria’s leading oil and gas company, announced the renewal of its cooperation agreement with the National Road Safety Delegation (DNSR). The agreement, which spans three years, aligns with Sonatrach’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and the promotion of road safety culture both within the company and in its surrounding communities.
The signing ceremony took place at Sonatrach’s headquarters, with significant figures in attendance, including Sonatrach’s Central Director of Hygiene, Safety, and Environment, Abdelkrim Ouamer, and DNSR National Delegate, Djamel Younsi. The company’s CEO, Rachid Hachichi, presided over the event, which was also attended by Mohamed Charfeddine Boudiaf, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities, and Town Planning.
This renewed partnership aims to bolster collaboration by implementing preventive action plans to address the risks associated with road accidents. Key initiatives will include awareness campaigns and the production of informational materials focused on road safety. Additionally, the agreement emphasizes practical actions targeting road users, particularly within professional environments sensitive to these risks.

This aligns with Sonatrach’s previous efforts; a similar agreement signed on July 4, 2018, led to various joint initiatives, including awareness campaigns and road safety caravans designed for the company’s employees and other road users. These efforts highlighted the dangers of reckless driving and underscored the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.
